The original playboy celebrity, Lord George Byron was described as "mad, bad, and dangerous to know" by one of the married lover "Byromaniacs" stalking him. A warrior poet, he was an accomplished swimmer, horserider, fencer, dueller, and boxer.

Grigori Rasputin
Born in rural Siberia in 1869, the mystic and self-proclaimed faith healer, Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin, built a reputation that quickly outgrew his small village of Pokrovskoye. This traveling "holy man" used religious fanaticism and his inexplicable animal magnetism to worm his way up clerical and social circles until he found himself at the sides of the Russian Royal family, the Romanovs.
His glamour remains a mystery, and his apparent ability to heal the young tsarevich, Alexei Romanov, goes unexplained even to this day. But his manipulative personality and extremely illicit religious practices left him with a reputation for doing both great and terrible things.
After surviving assassination attempts including being stabbed in the stomach, and multiple doses of cyanide, Grigori Rasputin was finally killed on December 30, 1916...
Or was he?
With his silver tongue and apparent connection to some other-worldy forces, Rasputin left history with a great many questions and a dark legacy that may be explored further... in time.

Hernan Cortés
Spanish Conquistador who sailed to the new world at 19 as a humble Notary, ended up leading an expedition that caused the fall of the Aztec Empire, and brought large portions of what is now mainland Mexico under the rule of the King of Castile. Cortés was part of the generation of Spanish explorers and conquistadors who began the first phase of the Spanish colonization of the Americas.
